The first phase of the project will be available on the Web by next year, with a pilot database already set up at www.cornucopia.org.uk.
The MGC hopes the pilot database will be selected for the National Grid for Learning later in the year. Cornucopia is designed to be an effective learning and research tool for a wide range of individuals and bodies, from museums themselves, to professionals, advisory and funding bodies as well as schools and academic institutions.
