Joining the pictures section from Madrid is Caylus, with Spanish paintings from the Gothic to the 20th century, while making their debut in the specialist 20th Century Art section are New York’s Acquavella Galleries, acknowledged as one of the very top international dealers in modern art, and Richard Nagy from London whose Modern European work will have an emphasis on the Vienna Secession and German Expressionism.
Antiques and Decorative Art is the largest section of the fair and a newcomer here will be Daatselaar & Godhelp from Utrecht with Northern European antiques.
Adding to the glitter of the extensive jewellery representation, Graff of London and Monaco make their debut.
For 2001 there will be what is described as a radical change to the design of the fair with Dutch sculptor, architect and designer Tom Postma from Amsterdam responsible for the overall concept.
Signing up for new-look Maastricht
NETHERLANDS: EARLY news of the world’s top fair, TEFAF Maastricht, which will be held in the Dutch city from March 10 to 18. Six dealers are joining the fair and the whole event is to have a new look.
