The collection of baroque and rococo silver dates from the 17th and 18th centuries and completes the museum’s holding, which stretches from the 16th to 20th centuries.
Highlights of the collection include a pair of soup tureens and stands, 1740-41 and 1768-69 made for Simon Harcourt, later Ambassador to France.
