Angela Nevill founded Nevill Pictures – later Nevill Keating Pictures when her late husband William Keating joined the company – in 1978. The London-based firm of private art dealers specialise in 19th, 20th and 21st century British, European and Australian paintings, drawings and sculpture.
Christopher Battiscombe retired from the Diplomatic service last year, after serving for three years as Ambassador to Jordan. He also served as Ambasssador to Algeria and from 1994 to 1997 was Director for Public Affairs at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
SLAD appointments
ANGELA Nevill has been elected chairman of the Society of London Art Dealers and Christopher Battiscombe will take over as general secretary at the beginning of September from Neil Smith, who retires at the end of July.
