After 10 years of putting fairs together Patricia semi-retired two years ago but returned to the scene last year with Tattersalls. Now she insists she is going for good.
This means Mr Bailey can add an East Anglian event to his roster and he told me last week: “The September fixture will run with 25 exhibitors as usual and with the additional expertise of our marketing and PR company. This additional upmarket venue bridges an important geographical gap in our fairs calendar.”
Next spring’s Tattersalls will be missed because of extensive refurbishment but it will return in autumn 2003 when Robert promises a grander and bigger fair with some 40 exhibitors.
Bailey bids to fill a gap in his market
EVER-resilient Essex organiser Robert Bailey is back on the acquisitions trail, if in a modest way. He has just taken over fellow Essex organiser Patricia Cox’s twice-yearly Tattersalls fairs at Newmarket, Suffolk and will run the next fixture from September 13 to 15.
