Elizabeth has been there since the Oxfordshire centre was first mooted but on July 18, following her husband’s relocation, she moves to London.
She told me last week: “I am very proud of what we have achieved at The Swan; a thriving antiques business, an award winning restaurant and a happy working team, which I will certainly miss.”
One of that team, Rita Woodman, Elizabeth’s deputy since the early days, takes over as manager.
Until Christmas Elizabeth will be busy settling her family into a new home but after that she will be looking for another role and, not surprisingly, the antiques trade is her preferred area.
Changes at Swan as Elizabeth leaves nest
A HARD act to follow will be Elizabeth Fell who after seven years running the whole show is leaving The Swan at Tetsworth, one of our most successful and innovative antiques centres.
