This new fixture is a companion event to the successful Antiques For Everyone fairs held at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre, Glasgow and Manchester.

Centre Exhibitions is part of the NEC Group. Around 30 exhibitors from throughout the country are envisaged and the fair will be open to ceramics, glass and enamels of all periods and origins. Stock will be vetted for quality and authenticity.

Fran Foster told the Aniques Trade Gazette: “In the past six months we have been approached by a number of leading ceramics specialists who exhibit regularly at our NEC fairs with a view to holding a series of prestige specialised fairs at venues around the country.

“Worcester is an ideal location that is well known to ceramics collectors.”
Mrs Foster is well acquainted with the ceramics trade since over the years china has evolved into the strongest section at the large NEC fairs.

By the end of last week 30 applications for stands had been received and among those who had firmly reserved space is Brad Dover of Jupiter Antiques, East Sussex.
Commenting on the launch, Mr Dover said: “Worcester has long been an area closely associated with ceramics and I feel the time is right for a well presented, good quality event to succeed.”

The organisers have had keen support from the Royal Worcester factory in setting up the new venture.
They will be holding a factory sale at the same time as the fair and a shuttle service will run between Royal Worcester and the fair, to which admission is £3.

Expect further new events in this series to be announced in the coming months.
