The selling show, which includes jewellery, holloware, flatware and even ceramics by Koppel, will run from May 16 to 31 at The Silver Fund’s London showroom at 1 Duke of York Street, St James’s, SW1 (they also have a showroom on New York’s Madison Avenue).

Koppel is rated among the 20th century’s major designers and innovators in silversmithing, and he made a huge impact on the Jensen company. His work pushed the firm in a new direction, attracting international acclaim and making the company a leader in modern Scandinavian design.

After early designs for jewellery by the late 1940s, Koppel had shifted to holloware and several of his signature pieces will feature in The Silver Fund show, among them the Eel Platter of 1956 and Jug with Wire Handle of 1948.
