Head of fine art at Brightwells, David Brown, considered the results an excellent foundation for a business that recently moved from “the somewhat cramped conditions of the old saleroom” to new purpose-built premises with nearly 9000 square feet of selling space. He expects the implementation of new specialist sales and sections, started last year in preparation for the move, should result in “a much higher turnover.”
No figure for the previous year was given, as the shape of the business was considered significantly different.
Brightwells set foundation for move
Brightwells Fine Art, the Leominster based saleroom covering the Marches, Wales and the West Midlands announced their turnover for the year ended December 2003, which, including premium, was £3.16m.
