The Hart-Davis-Hart Wine Company represents a partnership between Michael Davis and Paul Hart, former joint heads of the Sotheby’s North American wine department, and John Hart of wine sellers John Hart Fine Wine.

The trio first worked together in the early 1990s when Christie’s first launched wine auctions in the United States and joined forces again in November 2003 at John Hart Fine Wine.

After a brief hiatus away from the auction world Hart-Davis-Hart will hold their first sale on January 29 at the University Club of Chicago, a venue familiar to former bidders at the auctions of Davis & Company and Christie’s. Following the inaugural sale the firm plans to hold an auction in the spring and two in the autumn of 2005.

With their fusion of both auction and retailing resources, the company says they will offer the most comprehensive service in the wine auction business.
