As expected there was interest from all over the country and many telephone and commission bids were taken.
The two main lots of the sale both went home to new owners. These being the post card signed by Adolf Hitler, which sold at £750, and the framed signature of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, dated 1844, at £300.
Other military lots that also sold well included a 1933 pattern German dagger at £750, TENO mans sidearm German dagger at £700, 1918 Browning Automatic Rifle at £300, Enfield MkII at £220, German WWII flag standard top at £115, Staff Sergeant Grenadier Guards full uniform at £110 and Victorian pattern officers dress sword at £100.
From the selection of Railwayana lots prices included a GWR 1853 Pocket watch selling for £290, a 1950's Mickey Mouse railway set for £260, a pair of German Loco lamps for £240, an enamel totem station sign - Leyland BRM for £230, a boxed Wren model loco W2212 for £180 and £150 for a framed box of railway buttons etc.
The auctioneers were pleased with the achieved prices and felt that their run of successful auctions is continuing.
