After 36 years, Milo Mighell of Strike One, who enjoy a particular reputation for fine English wall clocks, has decided to scale down his activities while maintaining both a role in the clock dealing world and contact with his clients.
To this end he has reached an agreement with Nigel Raffety and Howard Walwyn, leading dealers in 17th and 18th century clocks and barometers, who have been in Kensington Church Street since 1979.
The Kensington firm have effectively taken over Strike One and Mr Mighell will continue working, but under the Raffety & Walwyn umbrella.
It is a sobering thought that Milo Mighell started Strike One in Camden Passage with a capital of £1000, which was just enough to acquire and fit out premises and buy and restore the start-up stock.

STRIKE One, founded in Camden Passage in 1968 and long one of London’s best-known specialist dealers in antique clocks, have been absorbed into Raffety & Walwyn Fine Antique Clocks of 79 Kensington Church Street, London W8.
