The two West London exhibition venues were bought by St James’s Capital from the Morris family just 18 months ago.

Dan Gorton, Portfolio director of Clarion, pointed out that as the owners are a property company, theoretically the halls are always up for sale, but he was unaware of any buyers.

Mr Gorton said: “As large customers of the Earls Court/Olympia venues, we are naturally interested whether the ownership of those venues should change hands again. However, since the usage of these halls as exhibition venues is protected and as we have binding agreements for our tenancies in the long term, we do not see it as a major issue for us.”
