The 3in (7cm) high Moorcroft miniature vase that made £1300 at by John Taylor’s sale.
Prices for some of these diminutive vases are not far short of their full-size exemplars.
The vase pictured left stands just under 3in (7cm) high, and it had some substantial crazing to the glaze, but it proved the star turn of the sale conducted by John Taylor's (12% buyer's premium) of Louth, Lincolnshire on May 5. Competition between telephone bidders saw it sell at a surprise £1300.
