The Bead Society of Great Britain is holding its 17th Annual Beadwork and Bead Fair on Sunday October 8, which is promoted as Europe's largest fair devoted entirely to loose beads and beadwork.

Said the Society's publicist Pat Nieburg: "There will be demonstrations and exhibition areas include stands for tambour beading, bead weaving, fringeing and braiding. There's such a huge crossover of interest now in beads for theatrical and fashion design, handbags, shoes as well as jewellery. We're also hoping to have a demonstration by Linda Jones, author of a number of books on wire and beaded jewellery."

The Bead Fair is at the Byron Hall, Harrow Leisure Centre and is a ten-minute walk from Harrow and Wealdstone underground station.
