The group includes their flagship Palm Beach Fair, as well as Palmbeach 3, SOFA New York, SOFA Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, the Original Miami Beach Antiques Show and Miami Beach Antique Jewellery and Watch Shows.

To date these fairs have been managed as separate entities.

The new group will be headed by Mark Lynam, vice president of Dmg World Media, who will continue to manage the two SOFA and two Palm Beach fairs, and Richard Lewis, senior vice president of the company’s North American publishing business and manager of the Miami Beach shows and the jewellery and watch shows.

Lynam is a respected and experienced promoter who founded and built up the SOFA fairs which he sold to Dmg (owners of ATG) and has more recently taken on the two Palm Beach events.

Michael Franks, chief operating officer at Dmg, said: “While reporting lines remain the same, Lyman and Lewis will combine their operational, creative and marketing skills, and spend the next few months bringing the show teams together to share ideas and best practice.”

The new group’s first new venture is the launch from September 25 to 27, 2009 of the Washington DC Antiques, Art and Jewellery Show at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center.

Mr Franks also revealed: “We are exploring opportunities for a major international art and antiques fair in Chicago.”
