The Old Narrowgate Salerooms in Alnwick which auctioneer Jim Railton has taken over on a lease from the Duke of Northumberland.
The 19th century building is situated by the main Alnwick Castle entrance and had been used as an auction room by Ian Robertson for over 30 years.
Many large Northumbrian estate properties have passed through the rooms, and Mr Railton will hope to continue the tradition with monthly auctions in the Alnwick rooms.
