The popular annual fair takes place every March at The Pavilion in Bath and the 2013 event will run as usual from March 7 to 9.

Originally launched to promote the Bath and Bradford-upon-Avon Antiques Dealers' Association, in recent years this friendly and relaxed fair has become a well-known event with a very popular trade preview on the opening day which attracts a queue of dealers from across the UK, London and overseas.

"This is a very special event and one that will be run entirely independently of our well-established Cooper Fairs schedule. The fair will be a new branch to my core business," said Sue Ede.

"Many dealers specialising in decorative and vintage pieces are familiar to us from our one-day event at the Royal Bath & West Showground, so this fair will benefit from our status with the many hundreds of trade buyers who are regular visitors to the Shepton fair."

Unique Identity

She added: "The fair has been exceedingly well organised by Robin Coleman and I am delighted he will be continuing to exhibit and provide guidance and advice. Above all, we look forward to welcoming back our regular exhibitors and visitors in 2013."

Robin Coleman said: "I am delighted to have agreed with Sue because she fully understands the heart and soul of the fair and recognises that it has a unique identity of its own and intends to keep it that way and continue to run it exactly as it has always been organised, for the benefit of exhibitors and visitors alike and not part of the general fairs circuit.

"The fair has been a major part of my life for nearly a quarter of a century and it would be unthinkable for Robin Coleman Antiques to not be a part of it going forward and I will definitely exhibit with Sue and will be involved on the fringes of the organisation for the next couple of years."
