A double bronze medallist in the 5000m and 3000m races at the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm, he enlisted in the Royal Sussex Regiment in 1915.
He died at the Battle of the Marne. Alongside a group of First World War medals and a 1912 Olympic Games competitor's medal, the lot also includes an embroidered England jersey badge, an album of cuttings (pictured) and photographs. Estimate £400-600.
