The fair is an intriguing collaboration between seasoned Florida fair organisers David and Lee Ann Lester of International Fine Art Expositions (IFAE) and the Syndicat National des Antiquaires (SNA), the French association of art and antiques dealers who organise the long-established Paris Biennale and co-organise New York's Salon: Art + Design.

The focus is American and European art and design which, according to Christian Deydier, president of the SNA, they hope will be especially attractive to collectors, architects, and designers from throughout the United States and Latin America.

"This collaboration will bring Miami a new major 'in season' international event," said David Lester. "The new waterfront location in the heart of Miami's Arts & Entertainment District, next to the new Museum Park, is one of the most extraordinary and exciting fair locations in the world."

They have secured some well-known dealers for the first event, including Phoenix Ancient Art (New York), Richard Green (London), Peter Finer (London), Moretti Fine Art (Florence, London and New York), Galerie Dumonteil (Paris), Galerie Alain Marcelpoil (Paris) and Stair Sainty Gallery (London).
