The partnership will be based in Miami and will initially organise four fairs in Miami and Palm Beach: Concept Miami (December 2-8, 2014 during Art Basel Miami); ArtPalmBeach (January 21-25, 2015); The American International Fine Art Fair (February 3-8, 2015) and Miami Art & Design (February 12 -16, 2015).
"We will introduce our unique and special construction techniques, manage strategic fair planning to the United States and gradually train American workers in our methodology over a period of several years," said Harry Vander Hoorn. "Our fair design, construction and planning firm, StabiloUSA, will be based in Miami and act as the exclusive contractor and builder for all Next Level Fairs."
The Lesters say this is a strategic partnership, combining their 25 years of fair organising experience with Harry Vander Hoorn's youth, construction skills and client base, which they hope will draw more exhibitors to the Florida events.
Stabilo are well respected in the industry as top-end stand builders - they have been the builders of the TEFAF Maastricht fair for more than 30 years, while also building Frieze Masters, Paris Tableau, Masterpiece London and Pan Amsterdam to name a few.
"The United States simply does not have fair builders of this quality," said Lee Ann Lester.
