With effect from October 1, the Guildford rooms, previously the home of Wellers Fine Art, will be used for monthly sales of jewellery, coins, silver, unredeemed pawnbroker pledges, architectural elements and decorative interiors and sculptures. At the same time the Chertsey saleroom will host a monthly general and antique sale sourced from both locations.

The changes arise a matter of months after the company invested heavily in the Guildford saleroom, creating a new top floor that gives them potential to increase the number of sales held there.

Jane Brown, director of fine art, who has overseen the redevelopment at Guildford and expansion of departments and the sales programme, is leaving the company.

"We have valued her renowned expertise and hope to work with her in a consulting capacity in the future, should suitable items come into our hands that she can assist on. We would like to wish Jane every success," said a spokesman.
