In past years, visitors to Masterpiece travelling by car have often used the car parks within Battersea Park and walked over Chelsea Bridge to the fair.
However, to accommodate the car race, Battersea Park will close to the public from 10.30pm on Friday, June 26, until 6.30am on Wednesday, July 1, and the car parks within the park will also close from the following times until the park reopens on Wednesday, July 1.
• Albert Car Park - closed from 6pm Wednesday June 24.
• Rosery Car Park - closed from 6pm Thursday June 25.
• Chelsea Car Park - closed from 6pm Friday June 26.
Wandsworth Council will also extend the existing Battersea Park Controlled Parking Zone that operates around the park to cover the weekend of the event. There are no planned external road closures but traffic in the local area is expected to be heavier than usual.
