Estimated at £7000-10,000, it was offered together with a 1634 volume of The Whole Book of Psalmes. The latter was printed by the ‘Universitie of Cambridge’ and came in a 17th century binding along with handwritten family records from 1642.

The 1560 bible was printed by Rowland Hall, it was financed by the English congregation at Geneva and is regarded as the most important English Bible dating between the 1535 Coverdale Bible and the 1611 King James Bible.
