Dominic Bennet, who runs antique furniture restorer Bennet & Brown whose clients have included Westminster Cathedral, believed he would be forced out after the landlord of the property planned to redevelop it.
But the company has now been offered a new five year lease for the shop at 84 Mountgrove Road near Finsbury Park in north London.

When the future of the shop was under-threat, Bennet resorted to asking his customers to support him by signing a petition. He collected more than 500 signatures.
Brownlow Developments, the landlord of the shop had planned to turn the building into a one-bedroom home at the rear and a smaller shop at the front. But Bennet said he can only operate in his full size shop which accommodates his shop and workshop.
The business sells and restores a variety of objects including antique furniture and clients have included the Spanish Embassy and Westminster Cathedral. Bennet has run the business from the same premises for more than a decade.
John Martin, partner at estate agent Cluttons who is acting on behalf of the landlord of the shop, said: "Following four months of negotiations we have now agreed the terms of a new five year lease with Bennet & Brown on Mountgrove Road. This arrangement stems from an initial lease extension offered to Bennet & Brown in July."
