Now, more than 30 artworks are going on public display at the Pallant House Gallery in Chichester where Woodford was a regular visitor.
He offered his collection to the gallery as "a bequest by a minor collector (not a rich rock star!) collected through love and when finance permitted".
The exhibition runs until the end of February.
