An oil on canvas, HMS Queen Charlotte at Spithead, by the Scottish artist Adam Callander (1750-1817) will be offered at Dreweatts as part of a single-owner sale of items from Plaish Hall, a Grade I-listed Tudor house in Church Stretton, Shropshire.
The Queen Charlotte was the first vessel to bear the name and was launched at Chatham dockyard in 1790. She carried 100 guns and was the flagship of Admiral Lord Howe at the Battle of the Glorious First of June. The picture is estimated at £12,000-18,000.

2. A musical table clock
This 18th century mahogany musical table clock estimated at £8000-£12,000, is among the lots from a private collection of antique clocks expected to total over £100,000 at Halls' Country House and Asian Art sale on May 15.

Among them is an 18th century mahogany musical table clock made in London by the Georgian clockmaker Eardley Norton, whose most famous commission was an astronomical clock for George III, which still stands in Buckingham House.
The 2ft (63cm) high clock has a six-pillar triple fusee movement and verge escapement and features a silvered arch marked MARCH, MINUET, SONG, COTILLION, MARCH, DANCE. It was formerly owned by W Strang, 1st Baron Strang (1893-1978), who purchased it while chargé d’affaires at the British Embassy in Moscow from 1930-33. It is estimated at £8000-£12,000.

3. A silver Suffragette medal
Silver Suffragette medal – estimated at £4000-6000 at Lawrences of Crewkerne.
A Militaria, Coins and Medals sale on May 16 at Lawrences of Crewkerne in Somerset will include this silver Suffragette medal awarded by the Women’s Social and Political Union to women who were imprisoned and endured a hunger strike.
It was presented to Anna Lewis in February 1914 and comes with two silver portcullis brooches awarded to prisoners who were held at Holloway prison. Lewis told the press she was force-fed in prison, which damaged her throat and gave her a hoarse voice for the rest of her life. She is listed in the Suffragette Roll of Honour. The group is estimated at £4000-6000.

The 4 x 3in (10 x 8cm) acrylic on board is accompanied by letters from Bratby detailing his composition and painting methods and the original bill stating the painting cost £385.
It is estimated at £3000-4000 with proceeds from the sale going to Minstead Church in Hampshire.
