A collection of prints by the British fashion photographer Norman Parkinson (1913-90) will be offered at Forum Auctions in a sale on September 17.
The collection comes from Parkinson’s former studio assistant Angela Williams who worked with him during the 1960s in Twickenham. She received them as a gift on the closure of his London studio and spent two decades researching the silver prints.
The Angela Williams archive sale has no reserves with most lots guided under £500.

2. 19th century Latin cross
The jewellery sale at Chiswick Auctions on September 17 includes pieces from the family of Robert Cowan Marshall, a wealthy Glasgow manufacturer who in 1896 acquired the historic house Burntshields at Kilbarchan.
Lots include this 5in (12cm) 19th century Latin cross decorated with blue, white and red enamel, punctuated by octagonal-cut garnets in foiled closed-back settings, estimated at £500-700.

5. Pencil and watercolour by Charles Tunnicliffe
Charles Tunnicliffe pencil and watercolour, inscribed Black Priest, T Forshaw, estimated at £300-500 at Halls’ auction on September 25.
A presentation on wildlife artist Charles Tunnicliffe (1901-79) will be held on September 13 at Halls of Shrewsbury ahead of an auction offering a collection of his art. Ken Broughton, secretary of the Charles Tunnicliffe Society, will be joining the auctioneers for a talk and special view before the 25 works are sold on September 18.
Tunnicliffe, who spent most of his working life on Anglesey, was known for his lively paintings, etchings and engravings of British birds and wildlife. His work is also found in Ladybird books, the Brooke Bond tea cards of the 1950s and the front covers of RSPB wildlife magazines.
Pictured is a pencil and watercolour, 10 x 11in (25.5 x 28cm), inscribed Black Priest, T Forshaw. It has a provenance to a Morgan Evans auction on Anglesey in 1985 when it sold to the current owner. It is estimated at £300-500. View the auction online via thesaleroom.com.
