The small piece features on the stand of WR Harvey at the Cotswold Art & Antiques Dealers’ Fair at Blenheim Palace from February 21-24. It is among the examples of fine English furniture, c.1680-1830, that dealer David Harvey specialises in.

He also brings a George II Burr Walnut and feather banded card table.

Harvey says: “This is the third time in the last 60 years that our businesses has had the pleasure of handling this card table but it’s only the second time that we have had the oyster chest in this period.”
