Apprentice members will have access to the full benefits of the trade association for an annual tiered fee over a fixed term of three years, after which they will be eligible for full membership of LAPADA.

They will also be matched with a ‘mentor’ member and have access to discounted professional services and products, educational resources and networking and training events.

LAPADA CEO Freya Simms said the new membership is a response to “the needs of a new generation of dealers”. She stressed that the new joiners would benefit from the knowledge of existing members while the association would “profit from the passion” of new trade entrants.

An apprentice members’ stand at the LAPADA fair will give these early members a chance to exhibit at the annual event.

This is LAPADA’s first new admission category since 2006.

Apprentice Members must still meet the association’s requirements of quality of stock, conduct and knowledge of their subject, and abide by the same by-laws and code of practice as full members.
