SAM - Salón de Arte Moderno features around 10 Spanish exhibitors and runs from February 26 – March 3 at calle Velázques 12 to coincide with the contemporary art fair ARCOmadrid.

Among the highlights is Composition aux bûches (1950), one of the few pieces available on the Spanish market by Léger, from Galería Jordi Pascual. Galería del Cisne offers a still life by Gino Severini, one of the leaders of the Italian Futurist movement.

Also on offer is a sketch by Dalí for one of the scenes from the Disney film Destino from fair director Jorge Alcolea.

“My hope is that no one will be afraid to come in and approach the gallery owners,” Alcolea says. “In the future we want to continue to be a small, specialized fair so as not to lose the magic that comes with being able to discuss the pieces with the dealers and discover the different anecdotes hiding behind each one.”
