Signed by the player himself who scored the third goal for France in 4-2 win over Croatia, the boots are estimated at €30,000-50,000.

As well as the boots, he has also consigned six jerseys and a signed Champions’ league ball that will be offered in a special sale at Christie’s Paris to benefit Les Étoiles de la Source, an association which promotes integration and reintegration through sport. The auction takes place on April 29.

Pogba said: “It is with great respect and emotion that I commit myself to this association which is doing a great job for these young people in difficulty.

“As I myself grew up in Roissy-en-Brie [a suburb of Paris], I know how hard it can be to succeed professionally. I wish from the bottom of my heart that many people will take action for this wonderful cause and that these young people will have a better future both personally and professionally.”

Les Étoiles de la Source aims to help young people aged between 12-25 from disadvantaged neighborhoods by organising cultural and sports eventing. It also provides support for business creation and administrative issues to people from ethic minorities living in France.

Pogba is the association’s honorary president.
