Royal wedding tiara

Robin Haydock Tiara necklace.jpg
Robin Haydock offers this tiara or necklace, thought to be modelled on the Collingwood tiara at Grays exhibition Vetiti Amare.

Robin Haydock offers this tiara or necklace from c.1890 with an Austrian makers mark. It is similar to the Collingwood tiara of Queen Mary, wife of George V. It was given to her by Queen Victoria and worn on her wedding day. This example is though to have been commissioned after somebody on the continent saw it and decided to have their own made. Since that time, the original has been broken down and made into other things.

‘Dearest’ pendant

Anthea Gesua offers this c.1940 pendant for £5000 at Grays exhibition Vetiti Amare.

This c.1940 pendant uses the names of its stones to spell the word “dearest”, taking the first letter of: diamond, emerald, amethyst, ruby, emerald, sapphire and topaz. Similar pieces also spelled out the words ‘Regard’, or, less commonly ‘Adore’. The gem-set heart was made in the UK and is now offered by Anthea Gesua for £5000.
