Stewart, who has a home in Los Angeles, sold his Epping home and moved to the Grade II-listed Durrington House, near Harlow in Essex. He last year sold more than 35 items and this time another 20 will be offered.
John Black of Sworders said “Last year at about this time he sold some of his items with us after selling his house in Essex. We now have more items going under the hammer in September. He’s clearly having a clear-out.”
The items will be sold at Sworders’ September 10-11 Fine Interiors auction in Stansted Mountfitchet.
With a low estimate of £37,000 for the collection, among the lots being offered are items of taxidermy as well as furniture such as a George III carved and gilt wood settee (estimate £1500-2000).
Last year Stewart sold more than 35 lots that fetched just under £90,000. The furniture and ornaments included a teak lounge armchair with a faux leopard print cushion, estimated at £250-350, which sold at £3800 at the September 11, 2018, sale.
