The joint presentations, set in select historic rooms in the Part Avenue Armory, mix traditional and contemporary pieces and reflect the lasting influence of certain eras and styles.
Colnaghi will team up with contemporary art dealership Ben Brown while Cahn is paired with Mayoral Gallery, specialist in European paintings, drawings and sculpture. Other pairs so far include Rob Smeets (Old Masters) and Van de Weghe (Modern and Contemporary art).
Sofie Scheerlinck, managing director of TEFAF New York said the initiative is part of ensuring fairgoers “have a new experience every time they visit”.
This staging, which runs from November 1-5, features nearly 90 exhibitors including 16 newcomers. Brun Fine Art, Kallos Gallery and Hazlitt Limited are among those exhibiting for the first time.
