Lindsay Burns is offering a Liberty & Co pewter and enamel square easel clock designed by Archibald Knox (1864-1933) in its Antiques and Fine Art sale in Perth on April 25-26.
Decorated with four heart-shaped panels of blue and green enamel, the clock is stamped English Pewter Made by Liberty & Co with the number 0482.
On offer with an estimate of £200-300, it is 4in (10cm) wide and has Roman numerals on a circular dial.
Among the lots at Fellows’ Antique and Modern Jewellery sale on April 13 is this late 19th century continental silver and gold pendant set with cultured pearls and circular turquoise cabochon.
Measuring 2¼in (5.6cm) long the pendant, which can also be worn as a brooch, carries an estimate of £300-400.
Potential best sellers in the sale include a brilliant-cut diamond single-stone ring estimated at £20,000-30,000 and a Tiffany platinum diamond ‘circlet’ necklace guided at £8000-12,000.
Works from the studio of sculptors Franta Belsky and Irena Sedlecka will be offered at Mallams in Oxford on April 25.
Among them is a model of Irena Sedlecka’s sculpture of the famous dandy Beau Brummell which now stands proudly at the entrance to Piccadilly Arcade in London’s Jermyn Street. It is estimated at £200-300.
A bronze bust of Winston Churchill by Belsky also features, pitched at £600-800. Overall, sale estimates range from £100-10,000.
A rare 7in copy of Elvis Presley’s single His Latest Flame/Little Sister is one of the highlights at Omega Auctions’ Miles Kington Collection sale on April 19 in Warrington, Cheshire.
A leading humourist and journalist on The Independent, also writing for The Times and Punch, Kington (1941-2008) was a huge jazz fan, playing double bass in the band Instant Sunshine, as well as penning reviews and journals on all things jazz.
His vinyl collection of LPs and singles is being sold in two parts, Jazz & Blues and Rock & Roll. This rare Elvis single, with picture sleeve, comes with an estimate of £250-300.
