More than 80 dealers from Marylebone, including those in Alfies Antique Market, are taking part in a flea market and will be joined by another 50 or so antique, vintage and design dealers who will set up stalls for the day.

Christened Antiques Anonymous, it has been created with the support of Westminster City Council.

A council spokesperson said: “There has already been a great deal of interest in this first event, and we’d encourage people to visit this diverse and vibrant part of London to give it their support so that it can become a regular event on the London event calendar.”

The street, which has recently welcomed a clutch of new shops including art dealer Daniel Raphael Gallery, Cutler & Gross Vintage and Les Trois GarÇons, will also have areas for food stalls, live music, pop-up shops and exhibitions.

The event is designed to promote the range of businesses in the area and attract visitors from nearby districts in the hope they will eventually shop in the area regularly.
