Alexandra Whittaker, based in Fellows’ London office, says: “Whenever we have had silver items in the Antiques & Fine Art auctions, the lots have performed well. This leads us to believe there is a significant amount of a cross-over between buyers in the two auctions.

“We are also looking to emphasise the quality of lots so are keeping the sales to around 800 or so lots with fewer items under the £50 mark.”

Whittaker adds that Fellows can now “put the expertise of three specialist departments into one auction”. Five of these new auctions will be held this year, “progressing on to six in 2018”.
