The Duke of Northumberland Chargers are among the stars of Sotheby’s Treasures sale on July 5 in New Bond Street. The pair of large 2ft 11in (77.5cm) wide George III silver-gilt sideboard dishes were made by Paul Storr of Storr & Co for Rundell, Bridge and Rundell, London 1813, after a design by the English engraver and painter Thomas Stothard.
The pair is pitched at £500,000-700,000.

This 4in (11cm) long pair of ‘Campana’ sun-chariot crescent gold earrings (c.1860), made by Castellani in Rome, was said to have been inspired by a pair of 4th century BC Etruscan earrings now in The Louvre.
The central section is composed of a gathering of angels surrounding a god riding four horses, and suspending a series of chain tassels with foliate and urn-shaped terminations. The pair have an asking price in the region of £300,000 at Masterpiece London from SJ Phillips.

This Art Deco diamond bracelet, c.1930, is estimated at £6000-8000 in Bonhams’ jewellery sale in Knightsbridge on June 14. Measuring 8in (20cm) long, it is formed as a series of articulated geometric fancy-links, set throughout with baguette and brilliant-cut diamonds.

The Maria Fitzherbert Jewel is one of the prize works on offer at Christie’s Exceptional sale in King Street on July 6.
The diamond-glazed locket belonged to King George IV’s secret wife, Maria Fitzherbert, and contains a miniature of the king as the Prince of Wales by Richard Cosway (1742-1821).
The artist painted 11 works for and of Fitzherbert, including at least five portrait miniatures between 1784-92.
The gold locket, probably made by Rundell, Bridge & Rundell, London, c.1800-06, is centred with a table-cut diamond and surrounded by 18 rose-cut diamonds.
It has passed by descent from Fitzherbert and is estimated at £80,000-120,000.
