Leading Sporting Gold’s June 2 sale in Buckinghamshire is this scarce football programme for the 1924 FA Cup Final between Newcastle United and Aston Villa.
Played on a rainy day in April, the fixture was only the second FA Cup final staged at the newly built Wembley Stadium, with Newcastle winning 2-0. Programmes from the match are scarce as many were used as makeshift umbrellas on the day.
This example comes in good condition with an original but cleaned cover, and is estimated at £3200-3300.
