“It is a considerable river and of a deep and full channel, navigable for large barges as high as Beccles… turning north, thro’ another long course of meadows it seeks out the River Yare, that it may join its water with hers, and find their way to the sea together.”

The pretty town of Harleston in the Waveney Valley is a busy place and it will be even more so on Sunday, June 18, when the town holds its fourth annual community-led Harleston Antiques and Vintage Street Market.

Sixty stalls will be selling furniture, gardenalia, glass, silver, ceramics and vintage fashion in the town’s Market Place and the nearby streets and there will lots of street food and music, all spilling over into the evening with a street party with live bands.
