This vintage wheelbarrow has added dog appeal in the form of Jools, a springer spaniel well-known on the fairs circuit. Jools belongs to John Reid Smith of Monmouth Antiques, who is standing at the Burton Court fair in May. This photograph was taken at the January Antiques in Tents fair at the Beckford Inn in Tewkesbury.

This event is held at Burton Court, a 14th/18th century country house overlooking the Herefordshire countryside at Eardisland, near Leominster.

A large marquee on the terrace shows off the traditional and decorative antiques and stands overspill into some of the rooms in the house. Launched four years ago, this event has grown in popularity, with country furniture a particular draw here.

Among the 45 dealers at the fair on Sunday, May 14, will be some new exhibitors: Charles Garland Antiques from London specialising in folk art and decorative items, Nook Antiques with Welsh antiques, and Just Old Wood from Devon offering good treen and other wooden items.
