It covers three different areas of interest: antiquities, Asian and tribal art and mixes resident dealers with their own galleries and guests from other locations who put on their displays in the network of streets around the Place du Grand Sablon. This year’s edition runs from June 7-11 and combines a total of 62 affiliated specialists from nine countries.
With 39 exhibitors, the tribal art element known as BRUNEAF (Brussels Non European Art Fair) provides the largest element. Now under a new organising committee, headed by president Serge Schoffel, this includes participants from Brussels, Paris, London, Barcelona, the Netherlands and the US.
As well as the selling shows in the galleries, a loan exhibition is held in the elegant Ancienne Nonciature building on the Place du Grand Sablon.
Thirty pieces, including works from The Ivory Coast, New Guinea, Nigeria, Ghana and the Congo loaned from private collections, will be displayed in a show titled Finalité San Fin.
