Specialist Louise Dennis told ATG the result of the sale “reflects how buoyant the current market is for period jewellery of beautiful design and quality that is fresh to the auction sphere”.

Jewellery specialist Fellows will set a house record of its own on December 7 if the Birmingham firm finds a buyer for an exceptional diamond ring by Graff.
The primary stone is a 43.59ct radiant-cut Fancy Intense Yellow diamond and it comes with a GIA report dated July 14, 2014, stating that the colour is natural and the clarity rated VS2. The estimate is £900,000-1.4m.
