This bronze medal pictured above was one of 500 struck to commemorate Arthur Henry Rostron, captain of the Carpathia.
The ship was famous for rescuing over 700 survivors from the stricken Titanic on April 15, 1912 with Rostron widely praised for his conduct. The medals were privately commissioned by Titanic first-class survivor Margaret (Molly) Brown and designed by Theodore Spicer-Simson.
This example is estimated at £300-500 in Bishop & Miller’s sale on October 7 in Stowmarket, Suffolk.

This pair of 18ct gold enamelled cufflinks is estimated at £300-500 in Dreweatts’ sale on October 11 at Donnington Priory in Newbury.
Each cufflink bears an oval panel enamelled with the insignia of the Royal Warwickshire regiment and is hallmarked Birmingham 1979.

A glass designed in 1900 by Austrian artist Koloman Moser (1868-1918) will be included in a sale at Hansons Auctioneers on October 24 in Etwall, Derbyshire.
The glass, bought for 99p in a charity shop, has been valued at £100-150.
A few years after he designed this glass, Moser went on to co-found the Wiener Werkstatte in 1903.

This Milk for Spain card token, organised by the Co-operative Wholesale Society (CWS), was part of a fund initiated in November 1937 to give humanitarian aid during the conflict.
In just over a year, the sale of these tokens (priced at threepence and sixpence) had raised £23,000, about £1.5m in today’s money. This sixpence example has survived in good condition and is estimated at £75.
