Showing some occasional insect damage but known only from a copy in the Cambridge University library, according to the cataloguer, it was valued at £100-150 in a Toovey’s (24.5% buyer’s premium) sale of October 3 but sold instead for £2800.
Sims, or Simmes, was reckoned a fine printer and is perhaps best remembered for a series of eight quarto editions of the works of Shakespeare that he printed in the years 1597-1604.
