This oil on panel Biblical scene by the Victorian artist William Edward sold for £1600 at Peter Francis of Carmarthen.
Depicting Israelite women lamenting the lost promised land, it sold for £1600.
According to an inscription to the original gilt frame, it was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1868 – two years before Frost became a full Royal Academician in 1870.
