Roger Lamb Antiques & Works of Art brings to the Petersfield fair this c.1860 Indian mica painting from Madras, originally purchased by a missionary. The mica was melted down to make very thin sheets on which Indian scenes were painted for the European market. This example measures 5 x 7in (12.5 x 18cm) and is offered for £550.

It is now in its 45th year and has been under the direction of Penman Fairs for the previous 20. Fully vetted with no dateline, the selection of traditional antiques and collectables range in price from less than £100 to around £25,000.

Among those standing at the event are ceramics and glass dealership S&J Abbott, Jeroen Markies bringing a variety of Art Deco furniture and decor, and dining room silver specialist S&A Marsh. First-time exhibitors include Morgan Strickland Decorative Arts and Elizabeth Street Antiques.

An 18th century Chinese tea bowl with bianco sopra bianco decoration and mounted on an ormolu tripod offered for £325 by Drove House Antiques at the Petersfield Antiques Fair.

The original Chinese ornament was of fruiting and flowering branches with finely incised work to the outside of the tea bowl. It also has added European decoration in puce enamel showing a woman in a wooded landscape.

The bowl is 3in (7.5cm) in diameter, mounted on an ormolu tripod and is offered for £325 by Drove House Antiques.
