Running from February 23-25, it brings together 30 exhibitors offering a mix of furnishings and design objects as well as art and antiques.
Fair director Ingrid Nilson of The Antiques Dealers Fair Limited (TADFL) says that since the event launched in 2011, the venue has developed from a golf resort and spa to one of the leading destinations in Cheshire with a luxury hotel and three dining outlets.
“Marketing support from the very friendly team at The Mere gives the fair a unique PR edge as we reach members and guests,” she says.
The event includes 20th century jewellery specialist Plaza, Victorian and Edwardian furniture dealer Mark Buckley Antiques, Haynes Fine Art and Fileman Antiques bringing lighting and glass.
Newcomers at this edition include Antiques by Design with jewellery, glass ceramics and more, Blackbrook Gallery, bringing an assortment of 19th century naïve animal paintings, and fine art specialist The Soden Collection.
TADFL supports the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust, the charitable arm of the Royal Warrant Holder Association. Trust scholar Wayne Hart will attend the fair, demonstrating letter-carving in stone, wood and glass.
First-time exhibitor Stephen Kalms says that it is the location that helped attract him to the fair. “It’s a great catchment area with the potential for affluent visitors and some lovely dealers,” he says. “I’ve heard it’s a great fair with a good following and I’m excited to be doing it.”
