Standing 17in (43cm) tall, it had some condition issues, but auctioneer Martin Lawrence estimated it at £4000-6000 and it sold to a Continental bidder at £6800 at the June 15 sale in Liss.

Meissen made this model of the social-climbing artisan riding a goat for close to two centuries, with this example dated to the second half of the 19th century.
